Back At the Ranch

Ever wondered what ancient lava beds look like when they're covered with snow? Cold, clear days are nice when there is nothing to do but ski up big mounds of sagebrush and rock and look across miles of flat expanses of sagebrush and rock. (With apologies to my skis that didn't quite appreciate the descent as much as the climb.)

Blizzard Mountain (9,313 ft) and the neighborhood of the southern Pioneer Range.

It happened in Sun Valley...

Who says there's no such thing as Santa Claus? As for me and Hanky, we believe.

Thank you Santa Claus. I love you Santa Claus.
